In the commercial they use the archetypes of the explorer; the men experience the apocalypse. The archetype of the sage is also represented in the Chevy commercial. In the end they state how one of the man who did not survive the apocalypse drove a ford. The only men who survived were those who were wise and drove a Chevy Silverado. The third archetype in the commercial is the regular guy. All the men in the commercial are represented as ordinary men; therefore, men can feel like any ordinary man can drive the Chevy.

Man on Fire
In the movie Man on Fire, director Tony Scott uses the symbols and archetypes of road to the center, and center to emphasize
The road to the center- rescuing Pita
Center- dyeing
Creasy’s journey to death. He uses symbols of fire, birds, and sacrifice to create the character of Denzel Washington.
The Fountain
In the film The
Fountain, the concept of restoration of primordial chaos is represented
through the tree. The sick tree symbolized the main characters wife who is
dying of a tumor, and he becomes the plant. Their eternal love for each other
is symbolized through the plants. Even though she dies they will always remain
close to each other.
Music Video
The music video "Is a Woman," by Lamchop uses the
concepts of road to the center and symbolism of the center to demonstrate new
life. The road leading to the center is a "difficult road' [...], that is
verified at every level of reality: difficult convolution of temple [...];
danger ridden voyages [and] difficulties of the seeker for the road to
self" (Eliade, 2005, p. 17-18). The road to the center in the video is the
river that takes the leaf to its sacred place. It goes through a difficult path
when it jumps over to the other side of the mountain. Once the leaf reaches its center it
is no longer winter but now it is spring. The center of the leaf is the tree.
The tree and spring both represent life; therefore, the music evokes that
meaning of new life with the symbols and archetypes of center, road to the
center, spring, and a tree. I think the music video is named “Is a Woman”
because women create new life and that is the meaning it is trying to
demonstrate.
Sacred Place
My center is my home because it is a place where I feel secure and happy. The environment inside is peaceful, joyful, and relaxing. There are many areas where I can go to in my sacred place. Because I have the power to not let anyone inside, my room is my favorite area. The people inside my center are loving and caring. It is always a pleasure to be at my sacred place.
My Name?
My name is Brenda. It means Sword and its origin is Norse. My parents say they named me like this because they happened to like the name at the time. So why did they like that name?- well that will remain a mystery because they do not remember.
